The Space Design Intervention project was an attempt to research an area and create an architectural design that fits within the space. We were tasked to design a 3d digital representation of the space that represented our expression of the essence of Gastown.

Gastown is a historic region in downtown Vancouver. The aim of this project was for our team to develop a unique and interesting space tailored for a specific (imaginary) client, and in this case Design Library.

Given the spatial constraints and the challenge to develop a unique form of expression with our design was a test of our team's ability to innovate and come up with varying ideas for crafting the space. Eventually, we ended up forming our "design thesis" on combining themes of Re(Construction), Crushing + Modularity, and Fragmentation.
